Although medical travel has been around for centuries now, with Switzerland as the hub for quality health care, several nations have sprung up to give superior global medical care.
Thailand, for example, has become popular among Americans because in addition to traditional treatments, it provides innovative treatments, such as stem cell therapy, which are unavailable in America. Add to that a luxurious treatment experience that tops it all.

Forbes’ global business staff Miguel Forbes has a thing or two to say about his medical care experience in Bumrungrad International Hospital in Thailand:
“I generally don’t like hospitals but I had a very positive experience at a fraction of the US cost and at [five times] the speed.
“I stayed at a suite in the St. Regis, a brand new luxury hotel, for less than $200 a night. I received a full medical exam for less than $1,000, including a last-minute MRI. A similar stay at the Four Seasons in Westlake, CA with a state of the art medical and longevity center probably would have been much more expensive and time consuming by a factor of three,” Forbes attests.

Meanwhile, medical travel companies, such as Medretreat, Satori World Medical, and WorldMed Assist, could affirm that countries like India, Israel, Mexico, Africa, and Singapore have established a name for themselves in the industry. With well-trained physicians and ground-breaking facilities and services at reasonable cost, these countries have contributed to the favorable unfolding of a competent global healthcare.
